REQUIREMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS

A general rule of thumb is whether or not the site is recovery oriented and it is of interest or usefulness to someone in recovery. As members of the recovery community ourselves we attempt to remain as impartial as possible. With that in mind we feel we can have a database accepting of everyone in recovery. Keep in mind we will not add sites which appears hateful or hurtful to those who use our site. Also we will not add sites that have any pornographic material this includes banners and pop ups. This is for the safety of our users and the integrity of the RDP. If you would like to report a link to us please e-mail a description of the problem to staff@recoverydirect.org We will review it and make our decision as soon as possible.

Choose your category carefully. This helps us to add sites more quickly to the database. This will also help our visitors find the information they are looking for.

Duplicate entries will be filtered out by our staff. We will also choose the most accurate entry to keep in the database.

Limit your description to one or two sentences. If your description is to long or does not accurately describe your site we reserve the right to edit or refuse it. Your description should describe your site so do not address the RDP in this field this is how our visitors will see your listing. It is often a good idea to view some other entries before submitting yours.

If your site refers to a particular location be sure to consider how our visitors may search for it. It maybe a good idea to include the state, city and sometimes country your group or organization is located in. Also as the RDP grows we will be organizing particular catagories by regional locations.
